The West Michigan Regional Medical Consortium (WMRMC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to strengthening emergency medical services and healthcare readiness across West Michigan. A vital division within WMRMC, the Muskegon County Medical Control Authority (MCMCA) oversees all EMS operations in Muskegon County, ensuring quality, accountability, and clinical excellence for over 400 providers across 17 agencies.

As required by Michigan law, MCMCA ensures that every 911 call in our region results in timely, skilled, and compassionate care. But we go beyond the mandate — we educate, support, and advocate for the EMS professionals who serve more than 40,000 patients a year.

The Call to Honor Classic supports our 2025 launch of Muskegon County’s first EMS Awards and Recognition Program — a platform to celebrate clinical excellence, heroism, leadership, and community impact. Proceeds will also support scholarships for local EMTs, paramedics, and first responders seeking advanced training or certification.
