Join a weekend experiential workshop on January 27-29, 2023 with individuals impacted by the criminal justice system and those working toward holistic reentry and safer, more connected communities.

This special weekend of Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) curriculum, will include the opportunity to gather in circle, participate in icebreaker activities, authentic conversations, and small group problem solving.

Alternatives to Violence Project is an association of community, school and prison-based groups offering experiential workshops in personal growth, community development and creative conflict management.

Alternatives to Violence Project was founded in prison and developed from the real life experiences of incarcerated individuals. AVP encourages every person’s innate power to positively transform first themselves and then the world.

Please join the first AVP community workshop of the new year on January 27-29! AVP workshops create opportunities for connection, trust and transformative learning through interactive experiences, self-reflection and FUN!

Workshop Timing:

Friday, January 27th: 5:30-8:30 PM
Saturday, January 28th: 9 AM-5:30 PM
Sunday, January 29th: 9 AM-5:30 PM

Location: Peer Seattle: 1520 Bellevue Ave, Suite 100, Seattle, WA 98122.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early each day so the workshop can begin promptly.

What to Know:

Please bring a sack lunch on Saturday and Sunday as we will be eating onsite together.
Wear comfortable, casual clothing and shoes that allow you to move around easily. We may also be outside, so a jacket will be helpful.
Other than a water bottle, lunch and snacks, there is no need to bring anything else.

Cost:

This workshop is covered under a King County grant, and there is no cost to participate. If you would like to make an additional donation to help further the work, you are welcome to do so.

Please Covid test within 24 hours of the workshop.

Out of respect for group process and maintaining trust among participants, please only register if you can commit to attending the entire weekend.
