The initiative was started for Caniacs to raise money to buy a season ticket membership for Carolina Hurricanes games for Emma and her family during the 2021-22 season. That goal was met and the tickets were also shared with other kids with special needs and their families so that they could experience Canes hockey!  Emma is a special girl, with special needs and our self-titled "Carolina Hurricanes Good Luck Ambassador"!

The goal has changed since that season and Caniacs For Emma will do specific fundraisers to continue to provide tickets for kids like Emma and support the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation and the Triangle Special Hockey Association. The TSHA gives those with special needs to learn and play hockey at no costs to the families. Emma is loving the opportunity to learn how to play the sport she loves so much!
