Sacred Music on the Hill

Sacred Music on the Hill was inaugurated as the official concert series of Saint Peter's Church on Capitol Hill following the installation of our pipe organ in 2019. A strong impetus towards the establishment of this series was a call from Pope Francis and several of his successors to incorporate the sacred arts into the missionary life of the Church, most especially as part of the New Evangelization. Heeding this request, Saint Peter's Church established Sacred Music on the Hill as a kind of aesthetic aspect of our larger parish mission, "To be a tangible manifestation of Christ in our community."
