We are shifting this year’s Gender Bash: We Bloom At Night away from a one-time celebration, and into a series of virtual offerings. We will no longer be gathering on November 2nd. If you would stiIl like to contribute in support of our work, head to our donation page to make that happen.

We’ve come to this decision out of a lot of careful consideration. From listening to community, movements, and each other about what we need right now, we’ve heard that our people are overwhelmed and worn thin. We know that in this movement moment, we may not be in the mood for a party. What we need right now is time to ground, reflect, and cultivate hope and joy where we’re at.

So, we’re honoring the moment and pivoting to new ways to honor the work of our incredible grantees, community, and outgoing leadership. While we won’t be dancing together this Thursday, over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be sharing performances from musician Jay-Marie is Holy and TWF’s resident DJ ::chicklet across our digital platforms. You’ll also get to hear from Third Wave grantee leader Daroneshia Boyd of TAKE, and honoree Adjoa Sankofia Tetteh in conversation with outgoing Co-Directors Ana Conner and Kiyomi Fujikawa, along with other staff. We’re hopeful that this We Bloom At Night series will help inspire and fuel us as we move through this moment together. Be sure to follow us on Instagram, X, and Facebook.
