Last year, thanks to your support, we made incredible strides toward our goal of bringing Space Club to 1,000 schools by 2025. Today, we’ve trained 925 educators to launch this program in classrooms across the country.

But we’re aiming even higher. Our new mission is to empower 2,000 educators with free Space Club training and resources by 2025, doubling our impact and reaching thousands more students with hands-on STEM learning.

A Message from Our Founder

As a kid, I struggled with math and science until a model rocket launch in 8th grade changed everything. I was hooked, and eventually became an aerospace engineer and worked on satellites launched to the ISS. Wanting to give back, I started volunteering at a middle school and noticed the same negative attitudes towards STEM. So, one day, I invited kids to join me for a rocket launch after school, and that was the start of Space Club.

For six years, a team of engineers and educators traveled to underserved communities with rockets and robots, inspiring over 1,200 students. Our motto was, "Kids can't be what they can't see." So we brought in STEM professionals, designed colonies on the Moon, and traveled to NASA. The impact was clear: 8th graders in our program tested 89% college-ready in math, compared to 25% of their peers.

To sustain these efforts and scale our impact, I recruited a group of passionate educators and long-time Space Club supporters to establish the Cosmic Leap Foundation as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. These efforts are supported by an experienced advisory board of Space Club educators and industry partners.

Cosmic Leap now provides training and resources to over 900 educators, reaching more than 25,000 students across the globe. However, hundreds of schools are on a waitlist for supplies to support underserved communities. We also need STEM professionals who are interested in sharing their stories or virtually mentoring a team in the Space Colony Competition. And every donation helps keep Space Club resources completely free for all educators!
