At The Boon Project – Agriculture with a Purpose, we believe the most rural and under-resourced communities in Africa will become the next generation of sustainable agriculture leaders.

In partnership with Global Industrial Hemp Solutions (GIHS), we are launching Hemp4Hope—an initiative designed to bring knowledge, opportunity, and long-term transformation through industrial hemp.

We are raising funds to build the first Hemp Center of Excellence in Iganga, Uganda.

This center will serve as:

A training and innovation hub for farmers, youth, and women entrepreneurs
A demonstration site for industrial hemp grain and fiber
A community gathering space, including faith-based services and events

Over time, this will expand into a full Agriculture Center of Excellence, supporting broader agricultural training, innovation, and business incubation.

🌍 What We’re Building Together

We are raising $50,000 to launch Phase 1:

🌱 Secure land for the demonstration site in Iganga
🌾 Establish a hemp demonstration plot (grain & fiber)
🏗️ Build a training pavilion and small office
🚰 Install water, latrines, and solar power
📚 Deliver farmer training and awareness programs

Industrial hemp is one of the most versatile crops in the world—capable of supporting multiple industries from a single harvest:

Funds training, demonstration sites, and women- and youth-led enterprise development

Invests in trials, infrastructure, and market development
