This Giving Tuesday, December 3, luxury custom accessories brand Laudi Vidni (“individual” spelled backwards) is partnering with Collaboraction, theatre for social change, for a unique fundraising and shopping experience at Laudi Vidni’s Lincoln Park store.

From 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, this in-store event invites Chicagoans to shop with purpose while celebrating Collaboraction’s mission to spark social change through live theater, film, and digital storytelling.

Collaboraction is at a defining moment in its 28-year journey. As Chicago’s leading socially conscious arts organization, we have consistently brought impactful, change-making stories to life all over Chicago and especially in those underserved areas—even while navigating the challenges of operating without a permanent home for the past four years.

Despite these obstacles, we’ve achieved extraordinary milestones: The Lost Story of Emmett Till: Then and Now garnered national recognition in a third Emmy award, and the acclaimed remount of La Havana Madrid moved audiences while exemplifying our commitment to excellence. However, the lack of a permanent space has constrained our ability to fully expand our reach and deepen our impact.

In 2024, everything changed. We made a critical decision to secure a home at the Kimball Arts Center in Humboldt Park--A House of Belonging--setting the stage for a new era of artistic innovation and community transformation. This space will not only house our groundbreaking productions but also serve as a vital hub for youth empowerment (music and theatre training), workforce development, community dialogue, and social change.
