Fix-A-Car!

Every week we hear from folks around Western North Carolina who have been struggling before the storm, since the storm, and now their car is broken down.  Or it's making a noise that sounds like it could leave them stopped in traffic - or worse - unable to stop at all! For some people this also means their home is broken down, they won't have a job for much longer, and they won't be able to make it to the doctor, or school, or daycare.

Our volunteer mechanics meet-up every week to diagnose, repair, and sometimes tow as many cars as we can. 

You can help us, by buying a part!  We average about $200 spent per repair, which we think is a pretty good deal! We love to fix a little problem before it becomes a bigger, more expensive problem.  $10 for a thermostat, beats $1000 for an engine that overheated beyond repair.
