The Ramos Research Institute is a youth-led nonprofit advancing civic learning, strengthening democracy, and training the next generation of civic leaders.

In November, we celebrated one year as a 501(c)(3)—one year of civic learning, civic leadership, and civic renewal. Every donation is 100% tax-deductible, and gifts of $250 or more will receive an official IRS letter from our team.

Why give? Because civic renewal is not partisan—it is essential. Our research and programs focus on democracy, liberty, and educating future generations. This is work that everyone can believe in, regardless of political affiliation.

Since our founding, we have:

Trained 50+ student researchers across the country.
Engaged 25,000+ readers through publications like The Informed Observer and our scholarly research.
Built partnerships with 15+ organizations committed to civic education and democracy.

To fund the Institute for a full year—including staff salaries for the first time—we need to raise $250,000. Bare bones operations is also possible with $150,000 but does not include funding all of our projects. Our managing team currently includes two full-time staff and three part-time staff, in addition to interns, research associates, and our internationally recognized Scholar’s Council. Every gift helps sustain this team and expands our capacity to lead civic renewal.

Major donors also have opportunities for naming rights:

$2,000 — Sponsor one of our Civic Fellows, each aligned with a key theme: Global Democracy, Systems Thinking, Courageous Dialogue, Civic Innovation, Civic Media or Media Literacy. Sponsorship includes naming recognition for that Fellow.
$10,000 — Name the Civic Leaders Fellowship Program for 2025–2026. This two-year sponsorship supports program operations and provides naming rights for the entire fellowship initiative.
$15,000 — Name the 2026 International Residency. This gift enables the Executive Director and Chief of Staff/Global Democracy Fellow to take part in an international residency in Poland with the Community of Democracies, strengthening RRI’s global research and expanding civic partnerships abroad.
