About Blind Early Services TN

Blind Early Services TN ensures that families are empowered and equipped through specialized programs of support to provide young children who are blind or low vision their absolute BEST start. Founded in 2020, BEST is proud to be the first and only Tennessee-based nonprofit organization solely dedicated to addressing this need. Since beginning services, we have worked with over 500 families across the state providing the early intervention and family support they deserve.

About the Artists

While you may not know her name, you are sure to have heard the voice of Kim Parent. A sought-after vocalist, she’s performed with Lionel Richie, Carole King, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, and more. After moving from New Jersey to Nashville, Kim quickly became part of the studio and live music scene, including appearances at the Grand Ole Opry and on TV’s The Singing Bee. Today, she continues to share her voice and songs with renewed focus and passion.

Grammy-winning Nashville songwriter Jon Vezner is known for his heartfelt storytelling and dry wit. Best known for the poignant “Where’ve You Been,” co-written with Don Henry and inspired by his grandparents, the song earned top honors from the Grammy Awards, CMA, ACM, and Nashville Songwriters Association. Vezner’s songs have been recorded by artists like Kathy Mattea, Faith Hill, and Diamond Rio, reflecting a deeply emotional and relatable songwriting style that resonates across generations and genres.

Bernie Chiaravalle joined Michael McDonald’s band in 1988 and has been a longtime collaborator, co-writing over two dozen songs and co-producing the Blue Obsession album. A seasoned guitarist and songwriter, Bernie has toured globally and performed with artists like Toto, Don Henley, and Cher. Now based in Nashville, he’s released 15 solo albums and worked with a wide range of artists, including David Pack, Amy Holland, and Jon Vezner.

Bill Lloyd is a Grammy-nominated Nashville artist, known by many from him time as half of the '80s duo Foster and Lloyd. A versatile songwriter, producer, and musician, he’s worked with artists from Ringo Starr and Ray Davies to Trisha Yearwood and Steve Earle. Lloyd has released acclaimed solo albums blending power pop and sharp songwriting, curated programs at the Country Music Hall of Fame, and performed with The Long Players and Project: Ghost Outfit.
