📚 Current Need

Education is one of the most powerful tools we can offer the children at Bolingo Village—and for each family home, the need is real and immediate. It costs $2,880 per year to cover school tuition, uniforms, supplies, and transportation for all eight children living in a single home. This investment ensures they can attend school consistently, build confidence, and dream beyond the limits of their past. With nearly 100 children in our care, your support helps us meet the full cost of education and opens doors to a brighter, self-sustaining future. When you fund a year of schooling for one home, you're giving an entire family the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

Bolingo Village

Bolingo Village is more than just a safe place to sleep. It is a community rooted in love, stability, and transformation for orphaned and vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At Bolingo, each family-style home is led by a foster mom, a widowed woman trained and licensed to provide the nurturing care and structure these children need to thrive. Up to eight children live together in each home, forming deep sibling bonds and receiving daily support through nutritious meals, education, medical care, trauma-informed counseling, and spiritual development.

Each home also has a U.S.-based Care Plan Advocate, a dedicated volunteer who helps ensure that no child’s needs or unique strengths are overlooked. These advocates act as an extra layer of support, checking in with our on-the-ground staff and championing the long-term well-being of every child in their care. They also help ensure that updates are shared with sponsors and supporters. If you’d like to contribute something extra to meet a need or celebrate a birthday, they’ll make sure it happens.
