Our vision is a school community that supports, nurtures and celebrates bilingualism, multiculturalism and equity for all students, families, teachers and support staff.

Since 1970, LATA members have donated time, money, resources and energy to assure that our school district is responsive to our community. We have participated in the struggle against repressive legislation at the state level and advocacy in the school district for social justice focused education.

We help organize Cesar Chavez Day Activities and other teacher events to network and especially raise funds for scholarships. We have raised and given thousands of dollars in scholarships for students who have the will but not the finances to go to college.
