Interfaith Works, we believe in the power of each individual’s unique journey. For more than 50 years, we have helped our neighbors open doors on their pathways to stability.

There is no ‘one size fits all.’ We work with our clients to help them determine what they need. Then we collaborate with them to pursue solutions. That can include finding gainful employment; getting access to essentials like food, clothing, or household items; connecting with safe shelter, warm meals, and supportive housing; or getting help covering rent and utilities. While the needs vary, our focus at IW always is to help our neighbors on their individual journeys to self-reliance and stability.

We do not decide which door our clients walk through. Instead, we and our community partners work with them to find the right door and help them open it. Which is why we need you.

While Montgomery County, a part of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, is considered affluent, more than 72,000 residents live on incomes below the Federal poverty line.
