2024 Year-End Campaign

Tree Trust’s mission is to transform lives and landscapes by engaging people to build skills for meaningful careers, inspiring people to plant trees, and making our community a greener, healthier place to live.

We do this in a couple of ways.

We plant trees because a vibrant urban tree canopy is essential to a healthy planet.

Our Community Forestry department organizes efforts to increase the urban tree canopy through community and school-based volunteer plantings, municipal tree distributions, and other special forestry initiatives. This year we planted or distributed over 10,000 trees. Perhaps you volunteers to help. Or maybe you received tree through one of a dozen tree sales. Our 2025 planting and distribution season has concluded, but we hope you'll join us in person in 2025!

We equip people to achieve family-supporting, skilled trade, green careers to create economic opportunity and equity.

Tree Trust’s Career Pathways programs offer promising young people the opportunity to build sustainable and meaningful careers by equipping them with training and hands-on experience.

Allow us to introduce you to one of our recent and long-time Career Pathways participants.

Konstantin just completed his seventh and final summer participating in our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). During his tenure, Konstantin worked on numerous outdoor, community-enhancing projects.  Most recently, his crew constructed baseball dugouts at Northland Park in Stillwater. From laying the concrete base to constructing the benches and structures, his team really knocked it out of the park!

Konstantin was promoted to Assistant Crew Leader two times in recognition of his hard work and leadership skills. In that role, he gained valuable experience by providing work direction for his crew. From a first job experience in SYEP to advanced training in our other programs, Tree Trust provides the skills and connections our young people need to succeed—all while stewarding our community green spaces!
