The Practice of Vajrasattva

Vajrasattva is one of the most important purification practices in Vajrayana Buddhism. As the embodiment of all the hundred peaceful and wrathful deities, Vajrasattva represents the innate purity of mind that remains unstained by obscurations and negativity.

To progress on the path to awakening, it is necessary to gather the two accumulations of merit and wisdom and to purify obscurations. Although all Dharma practice serves to achieve both of these, the practice of Vajrasattva is especially powerful among methods of purification.
