We are a non-profit organization that has been providing services to individuals with disabilities since 1948. Bay Area operates under a mission to provide outpatient therapeutic, vocational, social skill training and recreational services for persons with disabilities or injuries and support services for their families.

Our philosophy is that all persons with disabilities or injuries should have access to a comprehensive treatment program, an opportunity to work at a level appropriate to their skills, live in accessible/affordable housing, participate in recreation activities, have appropriate educational opportunities and thereby maximize their independence and contribution to the community. Our vision is to continue to grow and expand as a provider of service for people with physical and/or mental disabilities or injuries.

Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions and the aging infrastructure of our building, which surpasses 34 years, have led us to a reevaluation of our facility's maintenance approach. Without consistent upkeep, our ability to deliver comprehensive care is compromised, limiting our capacity to fulfill our commitment to delivering high-quality services.

As we prepare to embark on this ambitious endeavor, we are driven by our commitment to uphold Bay Area Rehabilitation Center’s longstanding tradition of excellence in serving the community. To continue meeting the evolving needs of our constituents and to enhance our capacity to provide expanded services, we estimate the need to raise approximately $250,000 through the generous support of donors like yourself.
