For 3-years, the Payne PTA has partnered with DC Strings Workshop to host the Saturday Arts Academy. With hundreds of hours of instruction and group lessons, our youth are learning not only how to play an instrument but critical executive-functioning and life skills in the discipline of studying an instrument.

Serving +200 students, this program brings high-quality music instruction to young people across guitar, piano, strings, voice, dance and more. We could not do this without a dedicated team of teaching artists, staff members and the support of our community.

The Payne PTA, DC Strings Workshop, and various DC Government agencies support this program, but we need your help. To expand the program to more students, purchase new instruments, and promptly compensate our teaching staff -- we need your help to cover rising additional costs.

With your support, we will add additional workshops (during-school/after-school), classes, and opportunities for our students to perform in the community. Thank you for your support.
