Two parts of the event:
1. Crafted by Wytheville native, Chris Conte, in conjunction with the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Foundation, this detailed documentary tells the story of the Bolling Wilson Hotel through the lens of Wytheville's long history of hospitality. From humble lodging houses like the Bell Tavern, to impressive resorts like the Boyd Hotel, and later modern hotels like the George Wythe, Wytheville's idyllic scenery, mild climate, and mystical mineral waters fueled a prosperous hospitality industry that came to define this corner of Virginia. Enjoy an afternoon showing of the documentary at the newly restored historic Millwald Theatre, built by Morris C. Miller, who also built the Bolling Wilson Hotel.
Tickets to the Millwald Theater showing are complimentary. At checkout, select the number of attendees.
2. After the screening, stroll up the street for the "Wine & Cheese" event in the Ballroom of the Bolling Wilson Hotel and celebrate one of Wytheville's treasured landmarks. To participate in this part of the event, select the "Wine & Cheese" event at checkout. Space is limited. To attend, a $15 donation per attendee will admit you to the event. All donations support the Museum's educational programs.
Questions may be directed to the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum at 276-223-3484 or email: [email protected].
