We are deeply grateful for your commitment to the vision of a healthier, more connected Fairfield County—where mindfulness is a widely accessible, community-rooted skill that helps people meet life’s hardest moments with steadiness and compassion.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how much impact a single moment of presence can make. One of our facilitators recently shared a story about a man who has been joining our programs for the past six months. He arrived carrying deep grief after losing someone dear to him. In a small circle that day, the group quietly held space for him, offering a self-compassion practice and building on our ongoing conversations about “name it to tame it.” It was a simple moment—yet profoundly human. A reminder that healing doesn’t require fixing someone’s pain, only witnessing it with care.

We’re seeing this again and again across our community. At a recent session with frontline workers in Stamford—people exhausted from empathy fatigue—participants opened up slowly, then shared:

“We are all exhausted and struggle with empathy fatigue.”

“I feel so much more relaxed now—my body feels at ease.”

“This was so great. We all need it.”

These are the moments you make possible. Your support ensures that trained facilitators can show up, week after week, to bring calm, grounding, and hope to people navigating stress, grief, reentry, caregiving, trauma, and the complexities of daily life.

As we look toward next year, I’m filled with hope. Your generosity helps expand programs into under-resourced neighborhoods, deepen partnerships, and ensure that anyone—regardless of circumstance—can access practical tools for resilience.
