A HEART TO SERVE
Laarnie Henderson has been helping kids in the Philippines go to college since 2011, one student at a time. She supported them with their tuition and school allowances. In 2018, she was invited by the school principal to be the commencement speaker for the first graduating seniors at Escalante National College. When her mentor in the Philippines learned that she would be the commencement speaker, he advised her to formalize her scholarship support by providing a Scholarship Award to the most deserving student of that class. When Laarnie started to receive a lot of recommendations and applications, she decided to give only allowances instead of tuition fees and to cater more to students who attend public colleges/universities.

Fast forward to today - Laarnie and her team created an official non-profit foundation focused on removing barriers and expanding the number of students that can successfully complete college and move on to support not only themselves, but their families and community as well.
