10 Years of Belonging

Dear Friends,

Ten years ago, ExtraSpecialTeas began with a simple but urgent question:

What happens when there are no opprtunities?

When our son Jache aged out of the school system, we were faced with a reality that so many families know all too well - there were no meaningful, inclusive employment opportunities for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

So, we built one.

What started as a small tea shop in Great Barrington has grown into something far greater than we ever imagined - a place where people come not only to work, but to belong.

Today, ExtraSpecialTeas is a vibrant, inclusive community where individuals of all abilities are valued, supported, and celebrated every single day. 

And it's all because of you.

Because you showed up. Because you believed in what was possible. Because you helped us brew belonging.

This April, in honor of Autism Awareness Month and our 10th Anniversary, we are launching  our campaign:

10 Years of Brewing Belonging -- Building the Next 10

While we are incredibly proud of what we've built, the need has never been greater. There are still so many individuals and families searching for opportunity, connection, and purpose.

With your support, we can grow - creating more jobs, expanding our programs, and reaching even more people who deserve a place like EST.
