With the addition of our newest resident, we have saved 100 draft horses!

Want to celebrate with us? We have a kinda crazy, kinda fun, but totally doable plan!

We are looking for 100 of our closest team members to step up to a $100 Give or Get Challenge to raise $10,000 in 10 days.

Here's what this could look like:

Ask 4 of your friends to give $20 to your favorite cause, and then kick in your own $20.
Ask 10 friends to give $10 toward a cause that is near and dear to your heart.
Ask 1 friend to give $50 to match your $50.
Donate $100 and call it a day.

We will supply you with an online platform to make giving super easy. Collecting cash and checks is fine too. We are available to answer any questions and help you every step of the way.

There might even be some prizes in the works!

Draft Gratitude gives senior working horses a second chance and a place to call home. Draft Gratitude was founded in 2014, and has since rescued over 90 draft horses who may otherwise not have lived through their golden years.

Prior to arriving at Draft Gratitude, many of these horses lived in farming communities, and have worked tirelessly for many years. However, when their working careers are ended by age or injury, they are replaced with a younger horse. They are then regarded as unneeded or unwanted, and are left without homes or consistent care.

In other cases, horses come to Draft Gratitude when their owners are no longer able to care for them.

Regardless of history, present needs or future outlooks, our organization strives to meet the needs of retired draft horses in a responsible, compassionate manner.

Draft Gratitude meets the needs of senior horses through the work of a dedicated team consisting of staff, veterinarians, farriers, and volunteers. This team works together to ensure the consistent health of the horses.

As one may expect, this consistent and at times intense level of care can be expensive. For each horse, approximately $32 per day is required to meet their needs. Draft Gratitude relies upon funding from donors, foundations, and fundraising events.
