#12VetsOfChristmas Day 12: Meet Army Veteran Nicki ❤️🎄💚
Last year, homeless Army veteran Nicki received devastating news - breast cancer. Since then, Nicki has powered through three surgeries, 13 weeks of chemotherapy, and five weeks of radiation. During that entire time, HVAF was there offering a helping hand. HVAF paid for the costs of her hotel stay and her case manager provided the mental health and emotional support she needed to stay strong.

#12VetsOfChristmas Day 11: Meet Marine Veteran Darren ❤️🎄💚
Facing homelessness after a divorce, Marine veteran Darren had nowhere to go. With the help of HVAF, he is now living in his own apartment at Veterans Villa. Being stably housed, Darren is able to focus on receiving treatment for his addictions and work toward achieving a full recovery for his kids.
