Midas Football Academy is committed to improving the communities of Houston and the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area by hosting a monthly event Rising Stars. These events allow the academy to provide sports-focused resources and opportunities to underserved areas and communities throughout the year create opportunities to fulfill dreams, and reduce the rate of crime, gang-related issues, drug abuse, and depression among youths.

The Problem:

Crime among teenagers and young adults is at an all-time high in our cities. About 13% of Texas youth are in the Juvenile detention center, there is a big leadership and mentor vacuum for boys in the community. Childhood obesity is now the #1 concern among U.S. parents, Soccer is not affordable to engage in as an extracurricular activity.

The Solution we offer:

Soccer for Empowerment: We use soccer as a powerful catalyst for personal growth, teaching our participants vital life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Through the joy of the game, we inspire confidence and resilience in our youth.

Vocational Education: Besides soccer excellence, we provide comprehensive vocational education that equips our participants with practical skills and knowledge. This empowers them to break free from cycles of crime, opening doors to meaningful careers and brighter futures.

Mentorship and Guidance: We believe in the transformative impact of positive role models and personalized support. Our mentorship and counseling programs nurture self-esteem, emotional well-being, and informed decision-making, reinforcing our participants' pathways to success.

Community Connection: We actively engage with families and communities to build a strong, supportive network. Together, we create a safe and nurturing environment that instills a sense of belonging, unity, and social responsibility.

Crime Reduction: By investing in the potential of our youth, we contribute to the reduction of crime in our neighborhoods. We firmly believe that when we empower individuals with purpose, they become agents of positive change within their communities.

Holistic Development: We are committed to the holistic development of our participants, focusing not only on their athletic and vocational pursuits but also on their personal and academic growth. We guide them to become well-rounded, responsible citizens.

The first goal of raising $1,500 is to secure a venue and print t-shirts for teens and young adults who will show interest in attending the event starting December 2, 2023. Your donation will help to make the dream of making a difference in a little way within our community a reality.
