Giving Tuesday! Give to RHYMES!

November kicks off Youth HOPE Month 2024! Giving Tuesday is less than a month away!  Please consider giving to the RHYMES, Inc. youth shelter to support youth in need in the La Crosse Community!

RHYMES, Inc. has been a drop-in center for youth ages 12-17 who are contemplating running away, have run away, and/or are experiencing homelessness. We recently obtained our Wisconsin youth shelter license! As we transition from a drop-in center to a 24-hour/7 days a week/365 days a year youth shelter, RHYMES will continue to use specialized programming to support, educate, and advocate for youth who come to RHYMES during their times of crises. 

Among the services RHYMES provides are Education and Employment Assistance, Case Management, Family Mediation, Life Skills, and Goal-related Transportation. RHYMES is a safe, supportive space where caring, knowledgeable, culturally responsive, and skilled staff engage with youth to identify needs, coordinate care, provide resources, and work toward goals.

At the beginning of this October, over 100 youth in the School District of La Crosse were identified as homeless. Being fully staffed as soon as possible will enable RHYMES to support, serve, and provide resources and community connections for La Crosse’s homeless and runaway youth in a safe, caring, knowledgeable, and affirming environment.
