My name is Debbie Sheridan I am a professional dog trainer who cares deeply about the welfare of my fellow canine professionals. We are so often existing in deep emotional pain knowing that dogs are suffering by not having their needs met or by being treated harshly in the name of "training." Our industry has a  HUGE issue with burn out and some of our brightest minds and biggest hearts feel forced to walk away from the profession because it is so demanding. It can feel hopeless. 

While almost all the attention of charitable foundations and corporations is focused on the dogs, very little is focused on the people who take the responsibility to pull, foster, rescue, home and train these beautiful creatures. The job is stressful to point of PTSD, and there has never been an emphasis on the mental health, until now.

The Phenix Advocacy Center, an IRS-approved non-profit and all-volunteer organization, was developed to assist these professionals with mental heath issues and managing the burnout that inevitably occurs. We represent nearly 1,000 canine professionals worldwide who have an extensive clientele lists and thousands of devoted followers online.

The PAC's Summer Auction Fundraising Campaign (June 21-30th) has a goal of raising $10,000 to fund programs, mental health education materials, outreach, social media and more.
