In the rural community of Rangala, Kenya, many children are fighting to survive without parents, protection, or the basic care every child deserves. Countless young lives are shaped by loss. Many have been orphaned by AIDS and other illnesses. Some have been abandoned with nowhere to turn. These children face each day without the safety, love, or stability that should define childhood.

Footprints of Faith Foundation was created to change this reality by giving orphaned and abandoned children a home filled with compassion, consistency, learning, and hope. Since 2008, the Foundation has worked tirelessly to provide safety, nourishment, community, and opportunities to some of the most vulnerable children in Kenya.

A Mission Rooted in Personal Experience and Deep Compassion

The organization was founded by Paul Odwesso, who grew up as an orphan in the same small village where the Foundation now serves. Paul survived because siblings stepped in to love and care for him. Many children in Rangala do not have that blessing. Paul’s journey shaped his commitment to give children the support he once needed. His vision grew into a nonprofit that now brings structure, stability, and hope to children who have lost everything.

• Norah Odwesso, Director, leads ground operations in Kenya with extensive experience in public affairs and community impact.
• Michael Howard, Director, uses his storytelling and communications expertise to amplify the voices of the children and highlight their needs.
• Trae Blain, Technical Director, supports the Foundation’s mission through technology that strengthens outreach, communication, and global support.
