The award-winning Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival in Historic Downtown Bristol, Tennessee- Virginia celebrates the twin cities’ history as the birthplace of country music with more than 100 acts of live music on 12 indoor and outdoor stages along State Street, the site of the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions. From Americana, country and traditional bluegrass to indie-rock, Bristol Rhythm features a wide range of roots genres performed by some of the most celebrated international, national, and regional artists performing today.

An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the award-winning Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Historic Downtown Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia tells the story of the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions – the event in history scholars refer to as the “big bang” of country music – and their lasting impact on the music of today.
