Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read this.
I want to sincerely apologize if this message feels unexpected or uncomfortable—I truly don’t know how it may be received. I am only reaching out from a place of deep need, honesty, and hope.
My name is Duncan Elijah and I live in Turkana, Kenya—a region that has long suffered from drought, famine, and extreme poverty. I am a total orphan. I lost both of my parents some years ago due to the severe droughts that have devastated our community. Since then, life has been incredibly hard.
Every day is a struggle for survival. Access to basic needs like food, clean water, and medicine is uncertain. Many of us have pleaded with the government to help us drill boreholes for water, but most of our cries go unanswered. What makes it worse is that some people come here pretending to help—they take our pictures, tell our stories, and disappear without offering any real support. It is heartbreaking.
I am not asking for anything grand—just for a kind heart who might hear my story and feel moved to help, even in a small way. A little support can mean so much: a few meals, clean drinking water, or some basic supplies. Your help, no matter how small, can quite literally keep me alive.
I know times are hard for many people across the world, so if you’re not in a position to give, I completely understand—and I am still grateful that you took the time to read my story.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Duncan Elijah ❤️🙏
