On June 6, 2023, Lonna Needles experienced a heartbreaking loss when at 38 weeks pregnant, she delivered her still born baby. Lonna has had a great impact on our children when she worked at Today’s Child within Penn Delco & she needs our support now more than ever.
We hope to come together as a community to memorialize her angel baby and show Miss Lonna the love that she’s shown our children through the years.
Our hope is to work with Aston Township to place a Memorial Bench nearby the family home. Any extra funds raised will be used to gift the Guth family with a relaxing weekend getaway where they can take a deep breath and have space to grieve away from the home that has the nursery their angel baby did not get to come to.

“Eleanor Jane Guth. June 6th, 2023.
Our daughter. Our angel baby.

1 in 175 births in the United States are stillbirths. We were that 1. Our beautiful and perfect daughter was born at 38 weeks sleeping. Our lives will never be the same.
For 9 months I carried her, loved her, and prepared for her arrival. We were so excited to be parents. We were so excited for our little girl. Now we carry her only in our hearts.
When the doctor told us her heart had stopped beating it felt like ours did to. Nothing can prepare you for those words. We were so close, we were ready. We battled with “why us?, why our baby?, what did we do to deserve this? we did everything right. It’s not fair.” And we are right, it’s not fair and it shouldn't have been our baby, it shouldn't be anyone’s baby. We were terrified and filled with grief and sadness.
The doctors started the induction at 5:30 pm Monday and we delivered her at 9:25 am Tuesday. There was silence as she entered this world. Surrounded is so much love yet so much sadness.
The “what if’s” haunt me. I will never know her smile, her laugh, or her cry. I will never get to hug my first child again. She should be here. I spent the last 9 months so excited, so happy, ready to be a mom. I miss my belly, I miss my baby. I want this pain to end. She may not be apart of this world, but she will forever be apart of mine.
It’s been 2 weeks without her. I’m waiting for the nightmare to end. The world continues to go on around me but it feels like mine has stopped. My heart hurts and I feel so empty without her. She took a piece of me with her when she left. A piece I will never get back. Some days are good and some days are not. But we continue to move forward.
It brings me comfort talking to her at night. Making sure she knows how deeply loved she is and will always be, knowing that one day we will meet her again. Knowing she is the most perfect angel baby, and she’s mine.
She made me a mom. She showed me how much love a person can have and how hard a real heartbreak is. I will forever be more than grateful for my perfect baby, Ellie.
