About Standing Sideways

It all started as a crazy birthday idea. "Let's rent a mountain for a snowboard-only event." Then we decided to open it to the public and make it even better. On February 26, 2020, we took over Plattekill Mountain and made it a snowboard/snowskate-only mountain for 1 day. It was epic, to say the least.. We will be continuing this event on an annual basis, and hope that all that came will be able to join us next year, and for years to come. Every year we have tried to give back in some way whether it be food drives, or gently used winter clothing donations. But a couple years ago we found our exactly where we wanted to focus our event.

In 2023 we decided to spread the stoke even more and paired up with the Live Like Brent Foundation to start the beginning of something even more amazing. Not only is this event a day to share the stoke and the amazing energy of this event, it will now help to benefit patients being treated for blood cancer. This is a cause near and dear to our hearts as Adam and Nicole have lost family and friends, and also have friends currently battling blood cancer as well. We always wanted to be able to make a difference with this event. And now we can.
