I take for granted that I can do hard things. Exhausting, yes, and maybe a little painful, but I have the option to go hiking or ride my bike as far and as long as I want, whenever I want to. So I was heartbroken to learn that 10% of people with Cystic Fibrosis are slowly suffocating -- they can't even take a little walk without a struggle -- because they have an untreatable form of the disease. Now finally, there are solutions in clinical trial so that even these cases may be treatable. I'm honored to be running for Emily's Entourage in the Philadelphia Marathon. I hope with every breath I take, I can help them get an inch closer to a cure.
