Save The Villa- 2 Million People Giving Just $1 Dollar Each- Saves the Home for 61 Vulnerable Residents

Save Faith Friendship Villa — $2.2 Million to Protect 61 Lives

Faith Friendship Villa is home.
Not a program. Not a facility. A home.

Summary- Save Faith Friendship Villa — Protect 61 Lives

Faith Friendship Villa is home to 61 adults living with serious mental illness and disabilities—people who cannot safely live on their own, most are extremely low income.

Due to chronic underfunding of Personal Care Homes in Pennsylvania of 50%, rising costs, etc, this home is at risk of closing.

The Board has given a narrow window of hope:
$2.2 million must be raised in 30 days to keep the Villa open.

Your gift helps preserve housing, retain dedicated staff, and create time for a sustainable future.

Give. Share. Pray.

Together, we can defend a home—and the lives that depend on it.

The Longer Story

For 61 adults living with serious mental illness and disabilities, Faith Friendship Villa provides what they cannot safely find elsewhere: stability, dignity, 24/7 care, and a community that feels like family.

Right now, that home is at risk.

Why This Is Urgent

Faith Friendship Villa is a 74-bed, state-licensed Personal Care Home in Mountville, Pennsylvania, with more than 24 years of service to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Like hundreds of Personal Care Homes across Pennsylvania, Faith Friendship is facing a crisis not caused by mismanagement or lack of demand, but by chronic underfunding.

  • Public funding covers only about 50% of the true cost of care

  • Costs for staffing, food, utilities, insurance, and compliance continue to rise

  • Since 2008, over 600 Personal Care Homes in PA have closed

Without intervention, residents face displacement into settings that are often less appropriate, more restrictive, or unsafe—including homelessness, repeated hospitalizations, or incarceration.

The Board’s Decision — And the Window of Hope

After announcing a planned closure, an outpouring of community support led the Board of Directors to reverse course with one critical condition:

If $2 million is raised within 30 days, Faith Friendship Villa can remain open.

This funding will:

  • Preserve housing and care for 61 residents

  • Retain the 27 dedicated staff who provide round-the-clock support

  • Cover operating deficits for up to two years

  • Create time to build a sustainable long-term model

This is not about delaying the inevitable.
This is about defending a home and rebuilding a future.
