Starting June 1st and going until June 26th, both the Southington and Cheshire Community YMCAs will have 26 volunteers doing running/swimming/biking/walking for 2.6 miles per day or some sort of physical exercise for 26 minutes in memory of the 26 lives lost in the Sandy Hook shooting. Funds raised help us honor Chase Kowalski by providing a FREE triathlon camp for kids aged 6-12 in each of our communities.

The Race4Chase program, which was created by the Kowalski Family in memory of their son Chase, one of the 26 people who tragically lost their lives at Sandy Hook. The FREE 6 Week Triathlon Camp provides a safe, healthy, non-competitive environment to discover the sport! It brings together kids of all different backgrounds and educates them about how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, coaches them to develop a foundation of athletic skills, and inspires them to aim high in sports and in life!
