Starting on June 1st, we will be participating in this year’s Race4Chase 26-day Challenge in support of the Race4Chase program at the Southington Community YMCA. We will either be running, biking, strength training, or participating in some form of exercise, for either 2.6 miles, or 26 minutes per day to help support these amazing young athletes.
Race4Chase is a youth triathlon program started by the CMAK Foundation in memory of Chase Kowalski, who along with his classmates and teachers, was taken away too soon in the tragedy in Sandy Hook. Chase started running at age two and half and participated in his first triathlon at age six. Now his memory lives on in all the young athletes who participate in this program.
The Race4Chase program is offered free of charge to 70 young athletes in Southington and Cheshire to train for and compete in a triathlon at YMCA Camp Sloper on August 6th. Your donation helps to provide these young athletes with the opportunity to participate in an invaluable experience, stay healthy, learn to compete, gain confidence, and so much more.
Thank you for your consideration and for helping to make a difference in the lives of so many children in our community!
