I have been involved with Career and Technical Education (CTE) and the Roanoke Technical Education Center (ROTEC) for more than 20 years and have seen the program continue to grow in success.

The students who come from Roanoke City Public Schools' CTE programs continue to amaze me with their talents and capabilities.
As a former manufacturing executive, I see these programs as our future. We cannot be able to create and manufacture products without this talent.

Each year during the annual ROTEC Extravaganza fundraiser, we hear from students who have gone on to be very successful in their field. We know there are many more students who can benefit from the programs that ROTEC offers.

In addition, the passion the teachers and administrators have for the students and their abilities is bar none. ROTEC Director Kathy Duncan is my hero! What she does every day, month, and year continues to show her commitment to these programs, and that is why I continue to support ROTEC any way I can!
