The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences

The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences offers undergraduate programs in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle-Level Education, Special Education and Physical Education. Each of these programs prepare candidates for initial South Carolina licensure. The College also offers undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Geography, Criminal Justice, Higher Education and Community Engagement, Political Science and Sociology.

The College's graduate programs include Master of Arts in Teaching, M.Ed. Educational Leadership, M.Ed. in Instructional Technology, Educational Specialist in Instructional Technology, M.Ed. in Special Education and M.Ed. in Language, Literacy and Culture. Coursework is offered that is required to apply for Literacy Teacher, Literacy Coach, and Special Education Add-on Certifications.

The Ph.D. in Education Sciences is an advanced graduate program in the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences. This program will involve students in developing the breadth and depth of understandings, skills, and dispositions through study in one of three specialization areas (Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment). The College also offers certificate programs and includes the LIFE Program, a four-year, tuition-based, post-secondary education and transition program for young adults who have a mild to moderate intellectual and/or developmental disability.
