2023 Block of Art

The Block of Art began in 2007 as a grassroots effort to bring an arts event to downtown Pottsville - a historic town in Northeast Pennsylvania about two hours northwest of Philadelphia.

The event has become more wide-reaching and inclusive each year, attracting visitors from throughout Schuylkill County and across Eastern Pennsylvania. Organizations such as the Majestic Theater and the Schuylkill County Historical Society have joined with Block of Art to reflect the variety and historical nature of arts in the county.

The festival will again return to Downtown Pottsville on April 29, 2023!

Block of Art is made possible through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts and generous sponsors and donors.  

BOA is an unincorporated association and a sponsored project of Schuylkill County's VISION, a federally recognized 501c3 organization.
