This is the first live-in person Carl Rogers Annual Conference in five years! Your presence will help vitalize our Person-Centered Movement to address growing challenges to civilization & the biosphere. We will explore issues which are crucial for our healthy growth as persons, as societies, and as participants in restoration of a flourishing planet. From enabling personal authenticity to advancing global biosynergy, your presence is vital to our common effort to promote person-centered wellbeing of all Life.

As a Community we will take an in-depth look at Authenticity. This core condition for personal self-actualization is essential to social and ecological advancement. Inciteful inner awareness and congruent shared expression are vital to becoming a healthy person who functions in positive synergy with others (human and all beings). To optimize partnerships, families, communities, organizations, societies, cultures, ecosystems, & global forces affecting betterment of Life in Earth’s Biosphere, we need to study conflicting Realities & support Truth seeking.

Our intention is to develop a greater understanding of what it is to be fully human, of our strengths and weaknesses, of our ability to grow and our potential for change as persons and societies in the chaos of Earth’s faltering biosphere.  Enjoy a blend of panels and workshops (e.g. - poetry, nature, etc…), presentations, discussions and demonstrations, in addition to the opportunities for small and large group encounters.

Carl Rogers and a group of his colleagues - social scientists and psychologists - founded the Center in 1968. Their intention was “to develop a greater understanding of what it is to be fully human, of our strengths and weaknesses, of our ability to grow and our potential for change.” Our goals are expanding to face the growing global need for personal compassion and social-ecological renewal. We welcome all who wish to foster well-being to join us.

Carl Rogers’ writings and his colleagues’ and followers’ continuing discoveries & developments have expanded over the past 50 years to revolutionize psychology, learning and education, and organization & community development. Focusing, Motivational Interviewing, Team Building, Sensitivity/Effectiveness Training, Non-Violent Communication, & Compassionate Wildlife Conservation are some of the better known. Among the many personal/social change arenas which have been influenced are mental/physical healthcare, psychotherapy & counseling, civic cohesion, peace & justice, conflict resolution, social services, organization design & transformation, religious/spiritual unity, collaborative politics/governance & biosynergy expansion.

The integration into Psychology - now & in the future - of diverse authentic person-centered approaches & related emphases can provide rich ground for interaction, exploration & communion.
