Over the past two and a half years I have worked on my education at Miami University, where I have gained incredible experience, made life-long friendships and helped build my professional career. A My Hometown Heroes scholarship would help allow me to complete my final year at Miami, giving me an amazing jumpstart into my professional life. Unfortunately, one of the difficulties I have faced since starting at Miami is the cost of education. Due to various family factors, including ongoing medical debt, and two other siblings in school, I have had to pay for a large amount of my education through federal loans. This scholarship would help reduce the amount of loans I have to sign, reducing the stress, now and post-graduation, helping me focus on my education.
