In March of 2020, Debriefing the Front Lines responded to a critical need as the collective nursing profession endured a global pandemic. These years forever changed the landscape of our healthcare system and brought to light the ongoing challenges, unsafe conditions and ethical dilemmas of providing dignified quality patient care.

Nurses are experiencing a unique and complex cumulative care taking trauma - the need for mental health support is not any less urgent.

In 2024, DTFL facilitated 291 1:1 debriefing sessions - of these 148 or 51% were scholarship based. We are proud to share, we have never turned down a scholarship request.

Historically, Debriefing the Front Lines has provided 4 session debriefing scholarship packages to nurses unable to work, for those on a reduced work hours and those experiencing extenuating life circumstances.

As the scope of trauma changes, we are seeing an increased need from 4 to 8-10 sessions per nurse.

Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
