In March of 2020, Debriefing the Front Lines responded to a critical need as the collective nursing profession endured a global pandemic. These years forever changed the landscape of our healthcare system and brought to light the ongoing challenges, unsafe conditions and ethical dilemmas of providing dignified quality patient care.

Nurses are experiencing a unique and complex cumulative care taking trauma - the need for mental health support is not any less urgent.

In 2024, the DTFL team facilitated 291 1:1 sessions and counting - 49% of these sessions were scholarship based for those on medical leave due to anxiety, depression, PTSD and those facing extenuating life and financial hardship.
