Join us for a delightful day at Valley Vibes 2024, a special joint fundraiser supporting the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority (JPA). This family-friendly event invites guests to experience a range of activities and programs offered by both organizations, highlighting the natural beauty and educational opportunities within the San Dieguito River Valley. The event will feature live music, beer and wine, and food catered by URBN Woodfire Pizza Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 Programming begins at 8:30am, food will be served from 11:30am-1:30pm Coastal JPA Ranger Station (at Via de la Valle and San Andres Drive, see map for directions) Activities & Highlights: 1. 8:30 to 9:30 am: Family-friendly Guided Nature Walk. Embark on a guided nature walk along the San Dieguito Lagoon led by Conservancy Board members and JPA Rangers. Explore the flora and fauna of the lagoon while learning about the restoration efforts in the area, local ecology, wildlife conservation, and the significance of preserving this vital ecosystem. 2. 10:00 to 11:00 am: Sculpt Yoga. Try our yoga session at the outdoor Birdwing classroom led by an experienced instructor. This session combines traditional yoga poses with light strength training using hand weights, offering a full-body workout that enhances flexibility, strength, and mindfulness in the peaceful surroundings of the San Dieguito River Park. 3. 11:30 am to 1:30 pm: Enjoy live music, the beer generously donated by Viewpoint Brewing, Wines from the Watershed, and food catered by URBN Woodfire Pizza 4. 1:00 to 2:00 pm: Natural Impressions – Art in Nature. Take a moment to create and connect with nature in this family-friendly event led by our partners, Ilan Lael Foundation. Participants of all ages are invited to explore their artistic talents while being inspired by the beautiful landscapes of the San Dieguito River Park. 5. Educational booths will feature displays showcasing the diverse wildlife of the watershed, along with a watershed model illustrating the expansive San Dieguito watershed. Explore coastal areas, valleys, inland regions, and the mountainous headwaters that define this vital ecosystem.
