Seth is a run coach, leading a very motivated and diverse group of movement seekers weekly throughout Portland, on behalf of the global brand On. He has been living in the Terra Linda neighborhood for years and has experienced first hand the excitement and camaraderie of his neighbors supporting the Sam Day Foundation, the Day family and the events which have run right past his house! As a mildly competitive runner and a father of a young daughter, having the opportunity to help raise money for this cause, by this means, strikes a tremendous chord in his heart.

Seth is running in honor of Jaxon.

A note from Jaxon's parents:

Jaxon is a resilient 3 year old who loves playing outdoors. He’s a big fan of the Disney movie, Cars, and is especially fond of Lightning McQueen. He’s such a happy kid and so very resilient. 

In the fall of 2023, Jaxon started to lose his balance when he walked. Doctors scheduled an MRI but when Jaxon started throwing up at daycare, they rushed him to the ER. Tests showed he had a brain tumor that was restricting the flow of his cerebro-spinal fluid. It was determined to be medulloblastoma. Jaxon has since had brain surgery and three rounds of chemotherapy. He has three more to go. Jaxon has pushed through all of the hard recovery like a champ, and his medical team says he’s doing incredibly well after all he’s been through. He continues to deal with an occasional tremor and weakness on his left side. 

His mom thinks people should know that childhood cancer is rough. It hits so unexpectedly and you can never prepare for it.
