The Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread Village is a festive celebration of unity, compassion, and holiday cheer, bringing families, friends, and neighbors together to make a meaningful impact on Pottawatomie County.
This whimsical event features a landscape of gingerbread houses, lovingly crafted by local businesses creating a magical atmosphere filled with holiday music and festive decorations. Guests are invited to participate in the kick-off event on Friday, December 6th at 6 PM, featuring photos with Santa, storytime with Mrs. Claus, free hot cocoa and cookie decorating, and live music from Oklahoma Baptist University students, with local leaders voting for the best gingerbread house and awarding a unique trophy.
For those unable to attend on the 6th, please join on December 14th at 6pm for a holiday musical showcase highlighing the talent of Shawnee Public Schools. The gingerbread willage will be open for a drive-thru experience through the new year allowing visitors to admire the displays, vote for their favorite using a QR code and join the excitement as the People's Choice Award which will be announced on December 23rd. All proceeds support the construction of safe, affordable homes, ensuring more families in the community can experience the warmth and security of a place to call home.
