What: A creative space for writers, theater-makers, and artists of all kinds to dive into the art of playwriting. Through writing instruction, creative prompts, and constructive feedback, our Playwriting Intensive students will get a crash course in independent playwriting. Working from first idea through to a first draft in just 6 weeks, by the end of the program playwrights will have the skills they need to join our advanced cohort of Resident Playwrights and will have a play ready to submit to our Playwriting Festival! Who: Students in grade 7-12. This is a program for beginner and intermediate playwrights. Whether you’re a brand new writer or you’ve written and submitted a play to us before, this space is for you. When: 4-6pm on Thursdays from November 7-December 14th. Where: 1219 Vine Street, Philadelphia PA Tuition is on a sliding scale. Free for all Philadelphia residents.
