SMC Volleyball has completed two amazing seasons since our revivial in 2022, including two trips to the postseason tournament and various team and individual accolades including (during the 2023 season): 9 more wins than 2022 for a winning record, a third place finish in the conference, a trip to the postseason tournament, four All-Conference players, an MCCAA All-Freshmen Team player, an MCCAA All-Region Team player, various player of the week awards, and a Western Conference Player of the Year award.  Our team finished the first semester with a team GPA of 3.52 (including four players with 4.0 GPAs) and is continuing to set and achieve high-level goals.  

 

Part of our continuing mission to build a powerhouse team and program is the ability to attend many of the most competitive, top-level tournaments in the Midwest to play the best of the best (and beat them) so that we are prepared to win championships. Traveling to these types of tournaments is expensive, and we appreciate all of the funds that we have raised that help us travel in gear that represents class and a top-level program, busing that provides comfort and wifi so that our players can study and focus on academics while on the road, and to cover the costs of food, hotels, and tournament entries.  We are grateful for all of the donations and support that we receive and hope to be able to continue participating in tournaments that help us work to achieve our goals that make SMC Volleyball one of the top teams in the state and beyond.
