I am on the board of the NJ Consortium for Immigrant Children (NJCIC), and I'm one of the organization's founders. I have worked closely with Consortium members and staff since 2015 to improve access to legal and social services for immigrant children in NJ. NJCIC works with all the nonprofit legal service providers and law school clinics in the state to coordinate these efforts and build bridges with providers of other kinds of services. I am overwhelmingly impressed with the staff for their energy, intelligence, dedication, and creativity in addressing the issues facing immigrant children. Most recently, for example, NJCIC worked with a local Federally Qualified Health Center to set up a legal clinic in the location where hundreds of immigrant children seek health care. Please join me in supporting this annual fundraising event!
