FIRST LEGO League Summer Camp: “SUBMERGED”

Students will build, learn to code, and then design and iterate their robot design to accomplish a series of 3 to 15 missions depending on how many weeks of camp they participate in. Camps are designed to allow for 1 or more weekly sessions to extend learning that builds on prior sessions, but does not require all sessions to continue learning.

Explore LEGO Robotics and Ocean Exploration
FIRST LEGO League campers will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their learnings and ideas to the surface as they "sea" into the future.

Camp Details:

Dates:
- 8 weeks of morning or afternoon sessions
- June 2, 2025 – July 31, 2025
- Join 1 or more or even all weeks to extend learning and fun!
Location: McKinney STEAM Academy
Schedule: Monday – Thursday
- Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  
  AND / OR
- Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Ages: 8–12 years old
Student-to-Mentor Ratio: 2:1
- Award-winning Mercenary Robotics high school student mentors experienced in robot design, building, coding, and competing, and student mentoring across FLL, FTC, and FRC from FRC Team 6369 will guide 2 students each throughout each of the sessions.
Max Capacity: 12 campers per session

Camp Levels & Themes:

100-Level Camps (June Sessions) - Introduction to Robotics
"Explorer's Depths" (Sections 100, 101, 102, 103)

Build and design a LEGO robot
Learn block coding
Complete a single mission

200-Level Camps (July Sessions) - Advanced Robotics
"Deep Sea Innovators" (Sections 200, 201, 202, 203)

Customize a robot to complete multiple missions
Advanced strategy and engineering
Introduction to Python coding

Cost & Registration:

$220 per camper per session (morning or afternoon)
10% discount for multiple camp sign-ups from the same family
Limited spots available – register early!
Registration Deadline: 6:00 pm on the Sunday evening before each session, unless sold out previously.
