Ever since I got cancer and knew that I would not be able to continue to get free college from a volleyball scholarship, it added another thing to stress about. This scholarship would help me a lot in a financial point of view so that I would not have to pay for it entirely myself. I also have not been able to work and save up for the future. Another main reason that this scholarship is so important to me is because it gives me a sense of relief in knowing that there are good things that can come from this battle. I really appreciate this scholarship opportunity as another reason to be proud of fighting this battle. My journey has been long and hard, but I am so proud of myself to be out of it.
